X Range
The X36 comprises of 4 models up to 3000 litre capacity spreading up to 36 metres, whilst the X44 spreads up to 44 metres with 3 models up to 4000 litre capacity.
The completely new range uses state of the art computer analysis to fine tune every characteristic of moving fertiliser from the hopper to the crop to ensure maximum accuracy, which has resulted in coefficients of variation in independent tests of under 5% - the norm for “Excellent” is a coefficient of variation under 10%
The X range of spreaders utilises patented Epsilon twin channel vanes, which gives multi-overlap of fertiliser, resulting in precision application over the whole spread width.
Each disc has two different length vanes, which when combined with the twin channel Epsilon vane gives 4 separate spread patterns per disc. Because of the multi- overlap, the spread pattern is much less sensitive to setting errors, variable fertiliser quality, etc, giving increased spreading accuracy.
Whilst retaining the principles of simple stepless rate and spread width adjustment without the need for disc or vane changes, advances in design have improved performance and simplified still further the ease of settings.
Special steel for the frame gives added strength for higher payloads without increasing weight, and the forged lower hopper support allows a clean design to minimise areas where fertiliser can lodge and simplify cleaning.
The Tribord 3D in cab border control enables two levels of border control at the push of the button, and is standard on all X range Sulky spreaders.
Other standard features include integral road lights built into the hopper and overlap check kits with granulometer for confirming settings in the field.
The latest generation Vision X electronic control boxes, exclusive to Sulky, are also available with continuous weighing for on the move automatic checking and rate adjustment. They feature an integrated SD card reader for storage of operations, field-mapping data etc. For traceability and precision farming techniques.

Trailed DPA XLT Series
The DPA XLT high capacity range of trailed
spreaders gives capacities of 4000 or 5600 litres.
The machines utilise the patented Sulky DPX
stepless spread system, which spreads fertiliser
from 12 to 36 metres, simply be varying the drop
point onto the disc to change the spread width
concerned. As with all Sulky DPX systems, there
are no discs to change or vane angles to alter for
different spread widths.
A positive drive from the land wheels gives an
application rate proportional to the forward speed,
and fertiliser is delivered to the spreading discs by
a 650mm wide conveyor belt giving a consistent
feed rate irrespective of the amount remaining in
the hopper.
Application rates from 60kg to 1,000kg per hectare
can be achieved on 24 metre tramlines.
The machines come with a large under frame
clearance of over 1 metre for late top dressing,
and have a sprung drawbar to reduce compaction
and give greater operational stability.
The distribution system is fitted with the Sulky
Tribord system, which enables accurate border
spreading to be carried out from the tractor seat at
the push of a button.
The machines come equipped as standard with
hydraulic brakes, sieves, full road lighting,
hydraulically controlled double shutters, and a
wheelbase adjustable from 1.55m to 2 metres. As
with all Sulky machines, the spreading mechanism
gearboxes have a 3-year warranty. |

Sulky "Stepless" Width Adjustment
Excepting the R and DR models, all machines feature the patented Sulky spout system enabling you to alter the spread quickly and easily. There's no need to change discs or gears to alter the width of spread. The pivoting spout alters the pointat which the disc where the fertiliser is dropped - the nearer the centre, the further the spread, and conversely, the closer the edge the narrower the spread width.
Sulky Spreaders all feature more extensive use of stainless steel than any other comparable machine, which, when combined with the multistage preparation and paint process, helps protect your investment for longer, giving a lower lifetime cost. Electronic control systems are also available as options with a variety of levels of sophistication, from simple rate changes on the move right up to links with satellite mapping systems, including weighing systems with automatic calibration.
Sulky spreaders offer probably the largest range available, with many features and benefits too numerous to detail here, so please do not hesitate to contact us should you wish to know more.
Border control
Precise but simple border control operated from the cab at the push of a button makes the Sulky spreader the natural choice. No complex hydraulic trimmers, disc changes, or upsetting the overall spread pattern by tilting the whole machine.
An electric actuator on the spout simply moves the fertiliser drop point outwards so that instead of being spread by the long vane, it is channelled to the special Tribord vane which gives a precise cut-off at the border.
